Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury II Prop Bets:

Introduction

Boxing prop bets are bets within a fight. In other words, the main bet is who is going to win the fight. But within that framework are any number of different events that you can try to predict. The bigger the fight—the more things you can bet on. And with Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury II being one of the biggest heavyweight championship fights in years, the choices are many.

This isn’t about picking a winner. You’re going to have an idea of who you might think will win the fight. In this article, we are merely singling out the prop bets we think have the best value, and that goes for both sides of the equation. You might want to put your eggs all in one basket. And maybe there is something to be said for that, as you don’t want to make bets that contradict themselves. But with some of the potentially-rewarding odds of some of these props, we like to take a few different positions. Here are some of our favorites for the Wilder-Fury rematch.

  • Wilder / Fury goes distance -120
  • The fight won’t go distance -110

Pick: Goes distance. Sure, both men are promising knockouts. Wilder backers might feel that their man can put Fury down and keep him there this time. But the combination of both men’s durability, in addition to their mutual respect and the high stakes of the fight, could give way to a similar bout where they see the final bell. In the first fight, we saw Fury walk through Wilder’s power, and the champion’s chin might be the most underrated part of his repertoire. When the bell rang to end the fight, both had something left.Y

  • Wilder wins inside distance +145
  • Not Wilder inside distance -175

Pick: Wilder inside distance. This might contradict the last pick, but this is more for bettors who fancy Wilder. The cards were close last time, and that was a “travesty in justice”. If Wilder wins, it seems like it would very likely be inside the distance. Locking in a +145 quote for Wilder to win inside the distance isn’t a bad value. He almost did it the first time.

  • Fury wins by 12 round decision +150
  • Not Fury by 12 round decision -180

Pick: If looking to get some better value on Fury to win the fight, betting on him to win by decision at +150 has some appeal. After all, judging incompetence aside, this is really how the first fight should have ended. Never at any point in the first fight did it appear that Fury was in a position where he can stop Wilder so if you like Fury, this could be a nice option.

Fury Vs Wilder 3

  • Wilder / Fury draw +2000
  • Fight not a draw -3000

Pick: Let’s face it, the prospects of the biggest heavyweight matchup in years ending up a draw for a second time is unsettling. All that work and such little resolution on who the best is. And while the first fight shouldn’t have been a draw, one could see how these two mesh in such a way to make a draw verdict perhaps a greater possibility than 20-1. With Fury winning rounds and a few knockdowns from Wilder, we could find ourselves in the same boat.

  • Wilder wins in round 1-3 +1075
  • Any other result -1937

Pick: I think maybe taking a more-extreme stand in at least one of these bets could have some upside. Time and again, the rematch after a close fight breaks loose early. Wilder knows the boxing lesson he received last time and how much harder it was to time Fury when he got into a groove. One could see Wilder making a strong early move in an effort to bypass all that. In their last round together, Wilder had Fury down and almost out and might be looking for a continuation of that early in the rematch.

  • Wilder wins in round 5-8 +465
  • Any other result -710

Pick: Any other result. We got one for you extreme chalk hunters, the type of bettor who doesn’t mind laying down over a grand to pick up a couple of extra hundred for a Costco run. In this bet, all you have to do is fade a 4-round range in the middle of the fight.

  • Wilder wins in round 7-12 +300
  • Any other result -390

Pick: Then again, we saw Wilder turning on the heat in the second half of the fight last time. If taking Wilder early in the fight is too extreme of a stance, getting him at +300 to win at any time in the fights’ latter half might be a more comfortable wager for you. After seeing Wilder’s power surface in the latter half of the fight last time and just noting how well he carries his power late in fights in general, a Wilder backer could find this one appealing.

  • Fury wins in round 9-12 +1700
  • Any other result -3400

Pick: At 17-1, I like this as the best more-extreme Fury stance to take on the fight. With a fighter whose best chance appears to be a 12-round decision, one is less likely to look off the grid for more exotic stances to take. But if Fury were to score the improbable stoppage, this time period would appear to be the best candidate. Wilder could empty his guns going for a KO against the resolute Fury. Or maybe Fury will have some tough early moments and need something dramatic late. Either way, at this number, it’s not that crazy. To read Loot’s take on who will win this fight go here!

The biggest rematch in 21st century heavyweight boxing goes downthis Saturday, February 22, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. BothWilder and Fury have a lot to prove, so expect this WBC heavyweight title scrapto have it all.

Our recommended boxing betting sites are working overtime on the latest Wildervs. Fury 2 odds and markets. The general consensus is that Wilder and Fury areinseparable ahead of this one, so it is no surprise to see the moneyline reflectthis.

But what about Wilder vs. Fury 2 prop bets?

Look, for many boxing punters, there is nothing better than checking out theprops ahead of a big fight. Not only are the odds worth it, but it gives buddingexperts a chance to show that they know their stuff.

Today, I’m going to share my pick of the best Wilder vs. Fury 2 prop bets, sostrap in, and let’s go.

  • Odds of -120 available at Bovada

Most fans betting on Wilder to beat Fury are more than likely going to backhim for the knockout.

Wilder Vs Fury Prop Bets Against

If there is one fighter in the sport synonymous with putting guys on theirbacks, it is Wilder. Sure, he might not have the pure boxing skills of many ofhis peers, but the guy knows how to get the job done inside the distance.

If Wilder is to beat Fury by knockout, he will first have to knock the “GypsyKing” down.

The beauty with this bet is that — regardless of if Fury stays down or getsback up — you will win.

There are many fans going for the knockout here, sure, but the same couldhave been said about the first fight. And even though Wilder had Fury on thecanvas twice in that bout, the bout still went to the scorecards.

In my opinion, it’s going to be very difficult to envisage any fight Wilderis involved in ending without at least one knockdown. Therefore, I can’t helpbut suggest that this bet is one to target.

The odds might not be as dazzling as they are for other prop bets, but it isone that you can make safe in the knowledge that it’s highly likely to happen. It’s not guaranteed, of course, but it is likely.

Wilder’s odds of scoring a knockdown are -120 with Bovada. I would expect anyknowledgable boxing betting fan to be all over that.

  • Odds of +350 available at Betway

Wilder Vs Fury Prop Bets Odds

Will Fury be knocked out this time? That is the question.

And let’s be straight to the point here — it is a very valid question. Imean, he is going up against one of the most ferocious punchers in the historyof the sport.

Deontay Wilder is that guy. As said earlier, he is far from the completeboxer. But when he lands that right hand, it’s lights out.

Well, it usually is. Unless your name is, you know, Tyson Fury…

In that first bout back in December 2018, no one expected Fury to get back tohis feet after Wilder put him down in the 12th. If you did, you areeither talking out of your vuvuzela or are part of a very small minority.

But then again, no expected Fury to fight the way he did after such a longlayoff and his much-publicized struggles with substance abuse and mental health.

This time around, Fury is in the shape of his career. He will be muchsharper, and he enters the contest knowing what he can do. He has the confidenceof a champion and will be in that ring to take the WBC title off of Wilder.

But then again, he could be Superman and still get dropped by Wilder.

To those who can entertain the idea that Fury might get dropped on his way towinning this fight, I think bet should be considered. After all, there is anargument that he did enough to win that first fight, despite being dropped.

Fury’s odds to win the fight despite being knocked down are +350. This is abet that makes sense, in my opinion.

  • Odds of +650 available at BetOnline

Choosing the right round for a fight to end can make for seriously big odds.

Especially when the fight is predicted to be as close as Wilder vs. Fury 2.

But when it comes to choosing the winner and the round that the winner willget the job done in, things get even more difficult in a close fight. Theybecome easier when you eliminate a few things, however.

Here’s how I have done it.

In my opinion, Fury is not going to win by knockout. So, there is no point inlooking at the round betting odds for him. So, that leaves twelve roundsavailable for betting on Wilder to get the job done.

Fury Vs Wilder 1

If I find odds I like for the Wilder stoppage, I will consider taking them. This is exactly what I did when choosing this bet.

But rather than focusing on just one round, I decided to opt for Wilder towin in rounds 7 to 9. This gives me three rounds for odds of +650 (available atBetOnline).

Now, the science behind things is that Wilder has 41 KOs in 42 fights. Thestats favor a Wilder win by stoppage, even if he is fighting what is consideredan elite-level heavyweight, in today’s terms, in Fury.

Perhaps more interestingly is this: Wilder has defended his WBC title tentimes and has knocked out nine opponents in nine wins. The average round that hegets the job done in? The 7th. But given that he knocked out Stiverneand Dominic Breazeale in the first, the average comes down a little.

So, to compensate for this, I have targeted the 7th, 8th,and 9th rounds for the stoppage.

Wilder beat Luis Ortiz (7), Chris Arreola (8), Artur Szpilka (9), and EricMolina (9) inside these rounds while defending his title.

By all means, you could settle for Wilder to win by KO/TKO, or just to winthe fight. But if you want bigger odds, this bet is a good shout.

The prop bets above are among the best I have found for Wilder vs. Fury 2.

You might fancy all three or none at all. And that’s cool. After all, you’llhave your own opinion on who is going to win this fight and how.

If you want to get to the bottom of how I see things going, you can check outmyWilder vs. Fury 2 preview.

Now, when it comes to the bets above, you will notice that I have opted forWilder in two out of the three. The reason why is that the odds are great valueand should be considered.
